GS Connect RTC is a software program that controls any type of geothermal system and is specifically designed for use in smaller building.
RTC uses reactive building controls to ensure that the system is operating according to the original design. These reactive controls are based on known temperature set points throughout the year. When RTC senses that the given set points will not be reached, it operates the auxiliary equipment to bring the system back within original design parameters.
RTC contemporaneously reduces energy consumption and maintains the health of the borefield. Specifically, the average entering water temperature in the heat pumps is reduced by 5+ degrees when using RTC. This reduction in temperature helps reduce compressor energy and increases lifespan of the equipment. Additionally, these reduced temperatures help keep the borefield healthy by maintaining its temperature within the original design.
Greensleeves’ products are applicable to small-to-large unitary and central plant geothermal projects.
